Everyone who comes to CrossFit Hartford gets a warm welcome and is provided with the opportunity to learn about basic techniques, terminology, pre-workout warm ups and exercises before participating in regular classes.
2 Simple Steps to Get Started
1.If you have never done CrossFit before please attend the “1st Timers Class” Saturday Morning
Come see what CrossFit Hartford is all about at our FREE Community Workout held every Saturday at 9am. This class will introduce you to the basic philosophy behind the CrossFit Method, give you an opportunity to experience a CrossFit workout scaled to your individual fitness level, and get a feel for our great Community at CrossFit Hartford.
No reservation or registration is required to attend. This workout is intended for true CrossFit beginners and first timers who are curious about CrossFit Hartford. You are welcome to stay afterwards and see a Crossfit class in action.
2. Attend our Fundamentals Program
We have our coaches work with you individually through 3 one-on-one sessions to teach you the basics needed to participate in classes.
The Foundations curriculum is designed to introduce you to the basic movements in CrossFit, as well as some additional exercises used in the WODs (Workout of the Day), and to gradually expose you to the intensity of the workouts. We place a heavy emphasis on proper movement mechanics and gradually increasing your training intensity.
