We are returning to Trinity College once more for our annual Winter event, Black Ice! This promises to be our best year yet. We’ve got tons of sponsors sending prize support, and several divisions which will keep competition exciting. All divisions are teams of two. We will have men’s, women’s and co-ed, with scaled and RX groups. Prizes will be awarded to all divisions, so come to win!
At long last, the WODs! In the interest of keeping SOME magic alive, the WODs are posted in no particular order. As always, we reserve the right to add, subtract, or alter WODs. You will notice that the Handstand Push-Ups are out: we tested the WODs at the venue and had a bit of trouble making them work in the setting. You will also notice we added a row.
10 rounds for time of:
6 Ground to Overhead (Rx: 135/95 Scaled: 95/70)
300 yard shuttle
1 Minute Transition/recovery, then
2 minutes of Front Squats for max reps (Rx: 185/135 Scaled: 95/70)
The bars will come from the floor, each section counts for a separate score.
Combined 100 calorie row followed by max distance (measured in feet) partner farmer walk.
The carries will be performed “elephant walk style”. Each group will have two barbells that they will stand between, deadlift together, and carry together, much like extra long farmer’s handles. The weight for each “handle” will be as follows:
